Lex Globo is not a platform that allows lawyers to practise internationally or to receive cases requiring representation or advocacy abroad.

Its sole purpose is to make lawyers more visible to people who need legal assistance in a given country.

It changes neither the rules of practice nor the conditions for bar registration.

What is the purpose of Lex Globo?

Lex Globo is a matching platform that helps individuals or businesses who need legal assistance in a given country to easily find a local lawyer.

Its only function is to connect local lawyers with people who are already actively seeking legal assistance.

For example, someone searching for “avocat au Maroc”, “lawyer in Dubai”, “abogado in Brazil” or “lawyer in China” is already actively seeking help in a given country.

Lex Globo simply makes local lawyers in those countries visible at that precise moment of the search.

Does Lex Globo change the way lawyers work?

No.

Lawyers continue to practise as usual:

• in their country (and jurisdiction of registration)
• in their usual areas of expertise
• according to the rules of their bar

Lex Globo has no impact on legal practice or professional obligations.

Can lawyers receive international cases?

No, not in the sense of cross-border practice of law.

Lex Globo does not allow a lawyer to practise outside their country (and jurisdiction of registration), nor to handle cases governed by other legal systems.

However, the platform can connect a lawyer with clients located abroad, when those clients are seeking legal assistance in the country where the lawyer is registered.

The legal need therefore always remains tied to the lawyer’s country. For example, a client in France needs a lawyer in New York or London.

Lex Globo does not change the applicable professional rules or the conditions for practising law.

What exactly is the platform’s role?

Lex Globo does not provide legal advice and does not intervene in the relationship between the lawyer and their client.

Its role is solely:

• to improve lawyers’ online visibility
• to facilitate the initial connection
• to connect people who need legal assistance in a given country with local lawyers

The lawyer-client relationship remains entirely direct and independent.

Does Lex Globo modify or replace bar association rules?

No.

Lex Globo is neutral with regard to professional and ethical rules.

It replaces no rule, creates no exception, and in no way interferes with lawyers’ obligations.

Because some people seeking legal assistance may be located abroad, but they need a lawyer in a specific country.

For example, a person located in France may search for a lawyer in Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Brazil or China. In these cases, they are connected with a local lawyer in the country where their need is located.
